MSOA is well connected by public transport system since our College is located in the heart of
the city. The College has a fleet of buses plying from various places of Chennai city for the
benefit of Students and Staff members. These buses operate along different routes starting from
different places. Special buses are available after college hours for the convenience of the
staff and students involved in sports and other activities.
The MTC bus stop is located less than 400meters distance. Now the METRO RAIL (CMRL) Work is
going on in Arcot Road, so within another week we will get a METRO RAIL station within 500
meters reach from our campus.
Canteen is a place where students of all courses interact with each other and enjoy good food. The college has a Day Cafeteria facility which caters to the needs of the day scholars. Cafeteria provides Breakfast, Lunch, Beverages, Snacks, Ice creams, and Chat items at a subsidized rate. They provide healthy and quality food to students at an affordable cost.
The college has a Day operated Stationary shop with Photocopy facility. The student friendly
store also provides a wide range of value-for-money general stationery items, cosmetics and men
and women accessories. It also provides geometrical supplies and precise measuring equipment at
reasonable rates. Binding and lamination facilities are made available to the students in order
to complete their project works with ease.
The printout can be taken from A4 size to AO.
The Institution has an Indian Bank ATM on our Campus. This 24-hour ATM facility helps all our Students and Faculty to do safe transactions whenever needed. Fees can be paid through the bank, and online payment mode is also encouraged.
Boy's hostel has an excellent facility that makes students feel comfortable as at home. Boys hostel have their own mess. The mess is spacious with a dining hall and kitchen where the students are offered a choice of vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. The hostel is like an extended home place, conducive for students to groom and grow healthy. We have leisure time activities to make them excel intellectually, physically, psychologically and spiritually.
The girls' hostel is highly secured and consists of well-constructed rooms with modern amenities. Each hostel has its own mess with a spacious dining hall and kitchen. Students are offered both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food choices. The hostel provides a home-like atmosphere, ensuring comfort, safety, and personal growth. A television is available in the dining hall for students' relaxation.
A student's life is no less than a rollercoaster. In addition to learning new skills and
exploring various opportunities, a student has a lot to deal with in terms of assignments,
practicals, exams, internships, workshops, lectures, and much more, essential to ensure optimum
academic development. Amidst the busy schedule, it is very important to take a break to refresh
oneself. This is where extracurricular activities play a vital role. These activities, during
college life, keep you positive, fresh, energetic and go a long way in making you more
productive. Not only do they lighten your mood, but they also help in shaping your overall
personality and interpersonal skills.
At MSOA, we firmly believe in the importance of extracurricular activities and encourage our
students to actively participate in a range of activities. The campus has various student clubs
and sports facilities to ensure a comprehensive learning environment. Gone are the days when the
sport was viewed as just a fitness activity. Apart from physical strength, it builds discipline,
confidence, team spirit, and accountability. With this in view, sporting events are a priority
at MSOA and the college has dedicated teams for various events which compete in inter-college
and intra-college competitions.
